Forward: I went and saw some friends in Whitehorse Musical Theatre Inc’s production of RENT on Monday night. I spent a lot of time talking to these friends after the show about what I thought.
A few of those friends asked me to put my thoughts into writing and, since it’s what I would want were I in their position, I’ve done that.
This isn’t a review. I won’t be discussing the plot, outlining the plight of the show’s late creator or mentioning every cast member/production teamer by name. They’re just my thoughts, for those who care to read them.
Also, they’re overwhelmingly positive. Maybe they got me on the right night, but I stand by my opinions. While the fact that I’ve written this all down might be because of my friends, my opinions haven’t been affected by them.
